Abstract

In today’s business world, many big companies are joining together through mergers and acquisitions, but most of them do not really reach the goals they promise in the beginning. Many studies have shown that the main reason behind this failure
is not money problems or wrong planning, but how people inside the company are handled. During mergers, employees often face a lot of confusion, fear, and culture difference between two organizations. This usually affects their confidence, team
spirit, and sometimes leads to losing talented people. Because of this, the company struggles to get the expected results. This paper tries to explain that transformational leadership can play a very big role in making mergers more successful. The main
parts of this leadership—like being a good role model, motivating people with a clear vision, encouraging new ideas, and caring for each person—help reduce stress and fear among employees. When leaders follow these methods, employees slowly
become more strong-minded and able to adjust in difficult times. This is what we call resilience. With this strength, the company becomes more flexible and quicker in reacting to new challenges after the merger. By studying different research
papers and comparing cases like the successful Disney-Pixar merger and the failed AOL-Time Warner deal, it becomes clear that transformational leadership is not just a style but a real need in such situations. It shows that when leaders take care of
the mental and emotional well-being of their workers, they help build the right mindset for long-term success. In simple words, happy and confident employees make the organization more adaptable, and that finally helps the merger to truly
succeed.
